Children are educated as well as entertained in 'The Lemonade War'


The Lemonade War by jacqueline Davies combines the elements of education as well as entertainment.


Evan Treski and his younger sister, Jessie, get along well in many ways. They play together, and their natural talents are complementary. Jessie is a whiz in math and other school subjects, but feelings were her weakest subject. Evan is competent in the social arena, but he is not such a good student. Their relationship changes the summer between Evan's third and fourth grades, when a letter arrives announcing what the boy sees as total disaster for him. He and his bright, skipping-third-grade sister will be in the same class. Thus begins the Lemonade War over which child can make the most money during the last week before school.

Four-time Academy Award nominee, Actress Julianne Moore teams with seasoned illustator LeUyen Pham to produce a lovely children's read in 'Freckelface Strawberry and the Dodgeball Bully: A Freckleface Strawberry Story'. In this particular Freckleface Strawberry adventure Freckleface is forced to confront a school bully named Wendy Pants Patrick. John Wray's third project entitled 'Lowboy' brings the reader into the world of New Yorker, Will Heller, a 16-year-old suffering with schizophrenia. When Will stops taking his antipsychotic medicine he wanders away from the mental hospital and into the subway tunnels believing that the world will end within a few hours and only he can save it. Meanwhile Detective Lateef and Will's mother are on the lookout for him.

This brings back great memories. The book series revolves around Nate, a pancake eating sleuth, who has a dog sidekick, Fang.

'Legal thriller guru,' Grisham,new novel reminiscent of '91 bestseller 'The Firm'


Bestselling author John Grisham,is delivering a new novel entitled 'The Associate'. The former attorney and politician is best known for his legal thriller genre-styled books such as 'The Pelican Brief', 'A time to kill', and 'The Firm' all which have gone on to become adapted into critically acclaimed films.

Grisham's latest project is being compared to the latter film which starred Hollywood A-lister Tom Cruise, portraying protagonist attorney Mitchell McDermott, a young attorney fresh out of Harvard Law School who discovers the firm he's recently been hired by is in ties with the Mafia.

'The Associate' has a twist on this as a young man is blackmailed into taking a job with a prominent New York law firm that he doesn't want to work at.
